How Mil Specs Live Forever

The US Standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches. That's an exceedingly odd number. Why was that gauge used? Because that's the way they built them in England, and the US railroads were built by English expatriates.

Why did the English people build them like that? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the pre-railroad tramways, and that's the gauge they used.

Why did ...

CONGRATULATIONS!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1930s 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses insulated with asbestos.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese, raw egg products, loads of bacon and processed meat, tuna from a can and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer.

After that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright ...

Very Quiet

Hi, I visit this site everyday and apart from some jokes, very funny by the way, Ahab, there seems to be very little topics or photos. I liked this site as it seemed less intimidating than the official site. Where is everybody? :)

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

1. Without anyone watching you and while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand.
Your foot will change direction.

I told you so!!!
And there's nothing you can do about it!
You and I both know how stupid it is, ...

Another Scam?

Email passed to moi

If you receive a phone call on your mobile from any person,
saying that he or she is a company engineer, or telling that
they're checking your mobile line, and you have to press
#90 or #09 or any other number, end this call immediately
without pressing any numbers.

There is a fraud company using a device that once you press
#90 or #09 they can access your 'SIM' card and ...

Good Afternoon

Afternoon all you good people.

Just let me park my broomstick and I will begin.

I own two Fuji cameras and usually I am crap with both of them, occasionally an odd good one slips the net!

Been a member of Fuji and now MyFinePix for about two years and was a Beta Tester. I was invited by Fuji, not for my expertise, more for the fact that I can type quickly and can talk ...

MP3 Player

I want to purchase an MP3 player. It must show as another drive so you can drag & drop or copy & paste in other words like a flash or pen drive. Also with a small screen showing the details.
Can anyone suggest a suitable player?

Login problem

Chris every time I have to login, I've told CCleaner to keep the cookies so it's not that, but have tried to log in immediately after closing the site and still have to log in.

Also I tried to put this post in the private members section but it wouldn't accept my password. :(

For those of you who have moved or been moved to this new site, you will be pleased to know that an archive of the old forum has now been made available.
We have managed to restore the old database, so nothing from the past 3 years has been lost. I'm still looking in to the possibility of importing the posts and threads to this new site in the future, but for now, you can ...

New site layout

As you can see, we have made a few changes to the site main page. These will hopefully help with navigation and user experience.
We have also made it so no matter where you are on the site, clicking the logo at the top left will bring you back to the home page.
There have also been some changes in the bbcodes, so you can add the new wide screen version of Youtube.
